A better way to do breakfast with Salted Caramel Protein Oats
Because mornings don’t need to be complicated to work.
There’s a version of breakfast that looks great on paper — perfectly balanced, beautifully plated, and made with way more time than most mornings allow.
And then there’s real life.
Busy mornings. Half-awake decisions. Eating something quickly between getting ready and getting out the door. Or skipping it entirely because there just wasn’t time.
The problem isn’t knowing what to eat. It’s finding something that’s simple enough to repeat, but still feels like something you actually want.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups quick oats
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1–2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Water or milk
- 1 Primal Salted Caramel Protein Bar (sliced)
Optional extras:
- Fresh fruit (figs work well)
- Tahini
- Date syrup
How to make it
- Mix the oats, protein powder, vanilla, and salt.
- Gradually add water or milk and cook on the stove or in the microwave until you reach your preferred consistency.
- Once it’s ready, top with sliced protein bar and any extras you like.
Why this works in real life
This kind of breakfast fits because it doesn’t ask much of you. It’s:
- quick to prepare
- easy to adjust
- familiar enough to repeat
- flexible depending on what you have on hand
On some mornings, it’s just oats and protein. On others, you add fruit, something sweet, something extra.
It adapts — which is exactly what most routines need.
Make it yours
There’s no “perfect” version of this.
You can:
- swap the fruit
- adjust the sweetness
- change the consistency
- keep it minimal or build it up
The goal isn’t precision. It’s having something you can rely on when mornings feel rushed.
